Renuka Shahane opens up on marriage with Ashutosh Rana, reveals people around her thought it would not last | Hindi Movie News

The 56-year-old, in an interview to mid-day, revealed that initially, people close to her thought that her marriage would not even last a month, given their vastly different backgrounds. Elaborating further, the Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! actor said that since Ashutosh came from a large family, Renuka’s parents were apprehensive of the same. They thought that she might not be able to adjust with his culture and that it would might not work.

She further added that marriage is anyway a gamble, no matter if you are in love with your partner or not. With refeshing candour, she also added that there is no guarantee that it will work out since great friends always do not make great partners.
Speaking about Ashutosh, she went on to add that marriage has worked well for the two of them since they compliment each other so well. Not only that, Renuka added that she took her time to form her own relationship with Ashutosh’s family and that worked out for her in the long run. She also added that ‘unfortunately’, the onus to make adjustments in a marriage usually falls on the woman and it is her who has to do much of the hard work.

Renuka and Ashutosh are parents to boys Shouryaman and Satyendra Rana.
