On its second Monday, the film has continued to hold well. As per early estimates, it collected about 8 crore nett on its second Monday taking its total to 71 crore nett as per trade website boxofficeindia.com. There’s been a drop of 40 percent, but that is due to the reduction in the ticket rates which are now the normal weekday rates. The footfalls in some multiplexes is even better than Friday due to the reduction in the ticket prices. Due to this, the film is expected to hold well even in the coming days.
With that, the overall domestic total of the film is almost 419 crore. It has become the second highest grossing film in India and has crossed the numbers of ‘KGF 2‘. The second week number until Wednesday should be around 88-90 crore nett. This is better than ‘KGF 2’ and behind ‘The Kashmir Files’.
As per trade, the film needs another 90 crore nett to become the highest nett grossing fil in Hindi cinema. But the next two weekends will decide that. This week, there’s no big release. There’s ‘Shiv Shastri Balboa’ and ‘The Tenant’ which can do well due to word-of-mouth. But next week’s release, Kartik Aaryan starrer ‘Shehzada’, may affect the business of ‘Pathaan’.
