Mindy Kaling tours Jodhpur and meets Bollywood Wives; fans ask ‘on holiday or scouting’ for movie with Priyanka Chopra | English Movie News
In a series of Instagram posts, Mindy shared photos from her enjoyable days around town, the beautiful architecture, landscapes and even pictures of her ‘new friend’ – a peacock. “The Pink City,” she captioned the post and added, “swipe to see my new friend.”
Mindy is in the country with writer Dan Goor, who is also featured in her photos. While out and about Jaipur, Mindy also took time to tend to some work commitments. The actress and producer met up with the stars of the show ‘Fabulous lives of Bollywood Wives’. Maheep Kapoor, Bhavna Panday, Seema Sajdeh and Neelam Kothari Soni took to their social media handles to post photos with Mindy and gush about her series ‘Never Have I Ever’.
Mindy’s visit to the Pink city also fueled speculation that she might just be scouting locations for her upcoming romantic comedy that will also star Priyanka Chopra. The untitled rom-com was said to revolve around a big fat Indian wedding and fans couldn’t help but ask if Mindy’s visit had something to do with the film. “Scouting for the Wedding comedy with @priyankachopra??” A fan asked.
Another fan wrote in the comments, “Is this prep for yours and @priyankachopra’s movie about the Sangeeeet???? Excitingggg.”
Another asked, “On holiday or scouting?! Enjoy! And tell me how there are NO other people in your frames!? I was there last month and there were 100 tourists to every square foot.”
According to reports, Mindy will play an Indian-American in the upcoming comedy opposite Priyanka, who is set to play her Indian cousin.
It would be interesting to see if the actress does narrow down on Jaipur, as Priyanka is also rumoured to be returning home to shoot for her next film ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ with Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif.
