Manoj Bajpayee, Sharmila Tagore’s film ‘Gumohar’ to release on THIS date; first look revealed! | Hindi Movie News

Manoj Bajpayee took to social media yesterday and announced, ‘Is holi aapki family ke liye aa raha hoon, apni family lekar’. Fans thought that the actor has announced the third season of ‘Family Man’. But he’s dropped a surprise!
The actor announced his next film ‘Gulmohar’ which is set to release on Disney + Hotstar. Sharmila Tagore will be seen in a project after a while. The film also stars Suraj Sharma of ‘Life Of Pi’ fame and Simran. One can see that this is one big family sitting together in this first look. Bajpayee wrote, “Family se milane ka vaada kiya tha, toh nibhana bhi padega na? Aa rahi hai Batra Family on 3rd March. Gulmohar only on @disneyplushotstar”

‘Gulmohar’ revolves around the multi-generation Batra family, who are all set to move out of their 34 year old family home. The film’s synopsis says, “This moving out triggers a re-discovery of the bonds that have held them together as a family, while grappling with personal secrets and insecurities.”
The film is directed by Rahul Chittella. Sharmila Tagore had revealed during the film’s announcement that, “After a considerable gap, I am very happy to be in the familiar and well-loved ambience of a film set. I agreed almost immediately to be part of team ‘Gulmohar’ after the moving narration of this heartwarming and beautifully written story. It is a very layered and absorbing family drama.” Tagore was last seen in Deepika Padukone, Imran Khan starrer ‘Break Ke Baad’ in 2010.

‘Gulmohar’ is streaming from March 3 onwards.
