Endless controversies and ‘boycott’ trends later, ‘Pathaan’ has become not just the biggest hit of the year but this Shah Rukh Khan starrer is on its way to become the highest grossing film of Hindi cinema. While ‘Besharam Rang’ had lead to controversies, people were hooting, whistling and cheering the loudest for the song in the theatres.
The makers have now unveiled a behind-the-scenes video of the song which takes us through all that went into it. Vaibhavi Merchant who has choreographed the track says that they really wanted to make the song special for Deepika since she’s never been presented like this before. This was the first time Deepika and Vaibhavi worked together and both of them were quite excited for that. The duo shared the experience of working with each other, in this video.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan said that the location was astounding and it felt like a family holiday to him because he had taken his kids along. One can see Abram on the set and Deepika hugging him. Vaibhavi revealed that the weather was absolutely against the theme of the song and the way everyone was dressed. It was really cold and the background dancers who were in shorts and bikini were freezing! But the moment Khan entered the set, the sun came out that day and everything changed! “He is a man of magic! When I saw him, my jaw dropped,” said Vaibhavi.

Deepika spoke about her experience on the song and said, “She says, “We had to shoot for five days if I’m not mistaken. It was not easy, the weather was really difficult but Vaibhavi kept the mood light. She made sure everyone was taken care of. Somewhere deep down inside you always hope that people standing around you will start dancing. It happened with both of our songs – they (Spanish dancers and crew) didn’t know the language but something about that emotion would connect like a celebration. It was so lovely to see that beyond a point movies, cinema, music they truly transcend borders. These songs in particular truly did that.”
