Athiya Shetty’s kalire charms featured 7 wedding vows hand engraved in Sanskrit | Hindi Movie News

Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul tied the knot in a close knit affair at Suniel Shetty’s Khandala bungalow last month. With her subtle pink lehenga, Athiya opted for personalized kalire which featured interesting details.

Athiya’s bespoke kalire featured over 50 tiny handcrafted sunflowers, with 7 vows of marriage hand etched in Sanskrit on the suns. Athiya and KL Rahul’s wedding date of January 23 were also etched on one of the suns. These personalized kalire were handcrafted by the veteran karigars of Jaipur and Lucknow, revealed Mrinalini Chandra who designed the kalires. Interestingly, Mrinalini Chandra had created kalires for Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif’s weddings too.
For the wedding ceremony, Athiya decked up in a pink chikankari lehenga and heavy Polki jewellery. Announcing her wedding on social media, Athiya had shared, “Today, with our most loved ones, we got married in the home that’s given us immense joy and serenity. With a heart full of gratitude and love, we seek your blessings on this journey of togetherness.” Congratulating the couple, Suniel Shetty had penned an emotional note that read, “A hand to hold and a reason to believe because sometimes the right place is a person and the ingredients love and trust … congratulations and Godbless my bachchas.”
