The celebration continues for team Pathaan as the cash registers continue to ring for Siddharth Anand’s action spectacle. Fans have loved watching Shah Rukh Khan return to the silver screens after a hiatus of four long years and having him share screen space with Salman Khan was the icing on the cake. Salman who had an extended cameo appearance in Pathaan made sure he left fans anticipating their union once again in Tiger 3, that will be the next film in YRF’s spy universe.
Tiger who rescued Pathaan in the high voltage train sequence has left for an important mission and has invited Pathaan to join him. The film’s screenplay writer Sridhar Raghavan spoke to ETimes about Tiger 3 and spilled some details about what to expect in the next film.

“I think you’re going to have a blast,” he assured. “You’ll really find it, like, ‘Wow!’ I am hoping so. This is a bit hard to say because I am involved in the writing. So you know it feels ajeeb saying something. I think it’s great fun, it’s terrific, and to take a film, a character who’s already in Tiger 1 and Tiger 2 and try and do something to match up to that and even top it, I think we have managed to pull it off. But I don’t want to say anything, there’s still a few months before it comes out. But writing it was an absolute blast. If you like like the genre, I think you’ll watch it 3-4 times!”
Meanwhile, Pathaan continues to wreak havoc at the box office around the world. The film has crossed Rs 850 crore worldwide and the cash registers continue to ring. Speaking about the response to the film despite the boycott calls, director Siddharth Anand told ETimes, “The fact that the audiences came in such huge numbers means they knew that there was nothing to what these calls were trying to say. So it was not that they waited and came in the evening to hear about it, like ‘Oh, my god, is this what they’re saying? Is it true what they are trying to say?’ The results came in through advance numbers itself. So I think the audience is too smart. I think we just underestimate the audience’s intelligence. They see through any agenda now.”
