Vijay’s film breaks into Rs 100 crores worldwide

Vijay joined hands with director Vamshi Paidipally for ‘Varisu’ and the actor surprised fans by teaming up with a Telugu director. The latest we hear about the ‘Varisu’ box office collection is that Vijay’s film has broken into 100 crores worldwide. After a tremendous response on the opening day and average occupancy working Thursday, Vijay’s film received above-average occupancy on Friday. The family drama surpassed Rs 100 crores worldwide on its third day, and the worldwide collection of the film stands roughly at Rs 103 crores after day 3. With this achievement, ‘Varisu’ has become Vijay’s 10th film to surpass the 100 crore mark.
In Tamil Nadu, the emotional family drama has earned over Rs 49 crore and it’s just inches away from reaching the 50 crore mark. The overall domestic collection totals close to Rs 78 crores, and the film earned almost 25 crores from the overseas market to enter into the 100 crore club gloriously. The shows and screens for ‘Varisu’ have been slightly increased compared to the opening day, and the film has gone sold out in many of the centers for the weekend.
