ETimes had exclusively reported that Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul will get hitched on January 23 and the confirmation has finally come from the family. Bride’s father Suniel Shetty was seen interacting with the paparazzi posted outside the wedding venue, which is his plush Khandala bungalow. Greeting the paps with folded hands, the beaming father said, “I am very grateful for all the love. I will get the kids tomorrow to meet all. Thank you everyone.” The wedding festivity will begin from today with mehendi, haldi and sangeet being planned at the venue, which has been decked up since yesterday.

We had also exclusively revealed why the couple choice Jahan for their nuptials. A source had told ETimes that Athiya wanted a low key wedding and KL Rahul was besotted by the Khandala mansion and hence Suniel Shetty turned his precious abode into a plush wedding venue. Athiya and KL Rahul’s low key wedding will be attended by close family and friends, all of who have been put up at the near by Radisson Hotel.
Post the wedding, Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul will host a grand reception in Mumbai. A source had told BT, “The wedding will be an extremely private ceremony with just the couple’s close friends and family in attendance. There will be around 100 guests at the shaadi. Given the hectic cricket schedules, a wedding bash has been planned for the film industry and cricket bigwigs after the IPL wraps up in May.” More than 3000 guests will be invited for this grand party.
