Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza had their backs to the wall after their Marathi film ‘Ved’ was ready. Riteish searched high and low for a studio to the film but got no favourable response, not even from the exhibitors as far as giving him the number of screens he wanted.
After long pondering, Genelia D’Souza donned the mantle of marketing. She took all the calls on how the film would be marketed.

And, look at the smashing collections that the movie has generated. ‘Ved’, which hit theatres on December 30, 2022, has garnered a very healthy sum of Rs 58.25 crore till date. And despite the release of Shah Rukh Khan-Deepika Padukone-John Abraham blockbuster ‘Pathaan’, ‘Ved’ is managing to hang in there. That’s what we call vindication.
