Roy finally breaks silence on Sonakshi’s resemblance to her. In an interview with Firstpost, she said, this is the co-incidence of life. Sometimes this happens. For instance, Jeetuji’s (Jeetendra) mother and her mother looked like twin sisters, revealed Reena.
Having said that, in Shatrughan Sinha’s memoir, film producer Pahlaj Nihalini had revealed that Reena and Shatrughan Sinha were emotionally involved with each other. Reena had given Sinha an ultimatum to make up his mind and marry her or else she would get married to someone else in eight days. At that time, Shatrughan was already married to Poonam. The film-maker had revealed that after ‘Hathkadi’ he wanted to cast Reena, Shatrughan and Sanjeev Kumar in his next film. But Reena refused his offer and said that she would do the film only if Sinha made up his mind. If he didn’t marry her, she would get married to someone else in eight days.
When Pahlaj conveyed the message to Shatrughan, he was in tears. He called her up and cried like a baby because he was emotionally involved with her. Pahlaj also revealed in this memoir that this was the first time he saw Sinha cry. It was then that the producer told Sinha to let her go and get married.
Reena married Mohsin Khan and moved to Pakistan then, thus, taking a break from films.
