According to the rules of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, any movie which has released in theatres or on digital platforms 7-days before the midnight of the December 31 of the qualifying year is eligible to be submitted for the Golden Globe Awards.
Furthermore, for a song to qualify, words and music, both must be original and written specifically for the movie that is being submitted. If this criteria is met, then the song qualifies for nominations for the Golden Globe Awards.
