Rakul Preet gets married to Sumeet Vyas who doesn’t believe in using condom. He says, ‘raincoat pehenke baarish mein bheegne ka kya mazaa’. Meanwhile, the trailer takes us through the stereotypical mindset, especially in small town. But here’s Rakul who wants to change that and give proper sex education to school children. The film has an impressive ensemble, also including of actors like Satish Kaushik and Dolly Ahluwalia.
While the trailer has some catchy, impactful one-liners that also make you chuckle, it is a socially relevant film. The trailer is impressive but it reminds you largely of last year’s release, ‘Janhit Mein Jaari’ starring Nushrratt Bharuccha which also dealt with a similar subject. It also had Nushrratt educating women and people of small town regarding the usage of condoms since many women are suffering health issues and some are even dying due to abortion. Hence, this subject doesn’t seem very fresh.
‘Chhatriwali’ is set to release on OTT on January 20 and is directed by Tejas Prabhaa Vijay Deoskar.
