Chhatriwali arrives on OTT today: Where to watch the Rakul Preet Singh starrer social-comedy

Direct To Digital releases seem to be the new norm of Bollywood as a lot of filmmakers skip the theatrical release of a movie and opt for a direct OTT premiere to reach a wider audience. Not only this, now the practice is no longer limited to noir, offbeat films, even many commercial potboilers can now be enjoyed from the comfort of your home. The latest in the list of OTT special releases is the social comedy Chhatriwali that premieres today.

Premise
Starring Rakul Preet Singh in the main lead, Chhatriwali is the story of Sanya who lives in a small town and provides chemistry tuitions to kids. Elsewhere, a condom plant owner (Satish Kaushik) is desperately looking for a quality tester and offers Sanya the job, given her knowledge of chemicals. In her desperation to earn well, Sanya takes up the job telling her family that she is instead working in an umbrella factory! Trouble however ensues when Sanya falls in love and decides to get married.
Cast
Apart from Rakul Preet, the movie stars Sumeet Vyas, Rajesh Tailang, Rakesh Bedi and Dolly Ahluwalia. The social commentary flick is directed by Tejas Vijay Deoskar.
