Singer Adnan Sami found himself in trouble with netizens after he shared his reaction on Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s congratulatory tweet on the historic win of Naatu Naatu song from SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR at the Golden Globe Awards 2023.
As the entire nation has started dancing to the tunes of Naatu Naatu after the song bagged the Best Original Song award at the global event, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy congratulated the RRR team including MM Keeravaani, SS Rajamouli, Jr NTR and Ram Charan while taking pride in the Telugu flag.

“The #Telugu flag is flying high! On behalf of all of #AndhraPradesh, I congratulate @mmkeeravaani, @ssrajamouli, @tarak9999, @AlwaysRamCharan and the entire team of
@RRRMovie. We are incredibly proud of you! #GoldenGlobes2023,” he tweeted.

However, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s tweet bothered Adnan Sami a bit as the singer felt that the politician should have mentioned the Indian flag instead of Telugu flag in his tweet.

“Telugu flag? You mean INDIAN flag right? We are Indians first & so kindly stop separating yourself from the rest of the country…Especially internationally, we are one country! This ‘separatist’ attitude is highly unhealthy as we saw in 1947!!! Thank you…Jai HIND!” Adnan responded to Reddy’s tweet.

But Adnan’s views didn’t go down well with the Telugu users who started questioning the singer about his intent and asked the singer not to politicise everything.

Meanwhile, SS Rajamouli and the RRR team are being showered with all the blessings and appreciations for putting the Indian flag on the global map. It’s been over two decades since an Indian movie and song were nominated at the Golden Globe Awards. While Naatu Naatu won the Best Original Song award, RRR fell one step short of winning the Best Picture-Non English award at the function.
