After showing off her acting prowess in series like, ‘Kaushiki’ and ‘Gehraiyaan’, Shruti Srivastava has been garnering praise from all sides for her performance in ‘Dharavi Bank’. In an exclusive interview with ETimes, the actress opened up about her experience of working with actors like Suniel Shetty and Vivek Oberoi, actors she idolises and more. Excerpts…

‘Dharavi Bank’ has been receiving positive reviews from the audience. How does it feel?
I am overwhelmed and extremely happy with the response. Fans too have been loving my performance on the show.

How was your experience of working with actors like Suniel Shetty and Vivek Oberoi?
It was amazing. I just had two days of shooting with Suniel sir. He makes every artist very comfortable because he has such a warm aura. He is very easy to work with because he is very humble and kind. I absolutely loved working with him. I wish I had more days to shoot with him. I didn’t have any scenes with Vivek sir so we didn’t shoot together but yes we met while we were dubbing. I am so happy that he appreciated my work in the series.

There is already a demand for the second season. Can the audience expect that soon?
Soon would be too soon to say because season 1 has just been released but yes the audience can expect a dhamakedaar season 2!

Any interesting or fun anecdotes from the set that you would like to share?
It wasn’t something fun but I remember on the last day of my shoot for the season, I sprained my neck and lost my voice for the most important scene of the series. However, it all worked out for the best in the end so I am happy with the response the series got.

Were you a movie buff in your childhood? Whom did you idolise?
I was absolutely a movie buff in my childhood. I used to imitate actors from the movies, especially Kareena Kapoor Khan’s character Poo from ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham…!’ I was also a part of the drama team in my school and college. I idolise Shah Rukh Khan sir as I have grown up watching his films. He was the reason I used to bunk school and go to movies.

Have you had any fan-girl moments?
Not yet, but whenever it will be, it has to be with Shah Rukh Khan sir. I am a forever fan of the superstar. I also hugely respect Amitabh Bachchan sir for all his legendary work. I am inspired by both of them.

Can you name any new generation actor you would love to work with?
I would love to work with Vicky Kaushal and Ranveer Singh.

What’s next?
I have quite a few projects lined-up for next year. However, I am not at liberty to talk about them just yet.
