Mrunal Thakur will be seen playing the role of Ishaan Khatter’s sister in an upcoming war drama, ‘Pippa’. According to the actress, people criticising her feel that she will never get to play Ishaan’s love interest in future.

In an interview with a news portal, Mrunal said that a lot of people criticised her playing the role of lead’s sister in ‘Pippa’. She recalled people telling her that nobody in the future would cast her as Ishaan’s love interest. According to the actress, she wants to break that stereotype. Mrunal added that if people don’t like it, they should share their feedback with her so she can implement it the next time she works on the character.

Elaborating further, she added that she has met a lot of friends who are actors and they have missed out on important roles because it was a sister’s role or a wife’s role. According to her, one should be ready to mould oneself into what the character demands.

‘Pippa’, which is based on the memoir, ‘The Burning Chaffees’, by Brigadier Mehta, is due to be released next year.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Mrunal was last seen in the official Hindi remake of ‘Jersey‘ co-starring Shahid Kapoor. The Hindi remake received mixed reviews from the audience and the critics alike.
