‘Drishyam 2’ box office collection: The Ajay Devgn and Tabu starrer rakes in Rs 22 crore on its third weekend | Hindi Movie News

Even after three week after its release, Abhishek Pathak’s ‘Drishyam 2’ continues to rake in moolahs at the box office. The film reportedly had a fantastic third weekend and is expected to challenge ‘RRR’ soon.

The Ajay Devgn and Tabu starrer collected Rs 22 crore nett over its third weekend which has reportedly taken the film’s overall collection to Rs 182 crore nett, a report in boxofficeIndia.com stated. The report also added that although ‘Drishyam 2’ is ahead of Kartik Aaryan starrer ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2‘, it is still behind in many circuits like Delhi, UP and Rajasthan. However, the big difference will reportedly come in the Mumbai circuit where ‘Drishyam 2’ can reportedly do a business of Rs 30-35 crore more than ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’.

The much-awaited second instalment of the family-thriller also entered the Rs 150 crore club in India in just 12 days of its release.

Helmed by Abhishek Pathak, ‘Drishyam’ is based on the 2021 Malayalam film of the same name, also serving as a sequel to the 2015 film Drishyam, which in turn was adapted from the eponymous 2013 Malayalam film.

Spilling some beans on the third instalment of the film, director Abhishek Pathak earlier told ETimes, I have a couple of scripts already in place. I’m thinking what to take next. I need to put my brain into it because after delivering this one, I want to tell a story which is loved by people and accepted the way this one was received.”

‘Drishyam 2’ also starred Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Akshaye Khanna and others.
