Reports around this biopic were doing the rounds for a long time, but no official announcement was made about the highly awaited film. However, in a recent conversation with Film Companion, Diljit Dosanjh revealed that he is all set to shoot Amar Singh Chamkila’s biopic.
He said that the shoot will go on the floors on December 9. Further, the work on the music of the film is complete, and it has been produced by none other than the legendary artist AR Rahman.
Diljit Dosanjh undoubtedly is one of the most loved and trending artists in the Punjabi Film Industry. And lately the actor is maintaining his name in news headlines for doing Chamkila’s biopic. The project will be a Bollywood movie based on the life of Punjabi folk singer Amar Singh Chamkila & is being directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Imtiaz Ali.
While there was no official announcement for this much-awaited and already-in-hype project, Diljit Dosanjh has confirmed the same. Not only this, Diljit has also released some official details about the film.
In a recent interview with Film Companion, Diljit Dosanjh revealed the shooting of Chamkila’s biopic will start on 9 December. Also, Diljit unveiled that the music of the film has been completed and produced by the legendary musician AR Rahman.
During the same conversation, Diljit also mentioned how serious the director of the movie Imtiaz Ali is about the project. He had a meeting with the parents of the late folk singer so as to get all the correct information, and Diljit was sent a new email every day with the details on Chamkila.
The release date of the film is still under wraps.
