Anees Bazmee: I have been approached to direct Hera Pheri 3, but producers haven’t confirmed Kartik Aaryan or Akshay Kumar – Exclusive | Hindi Movie News

Earlier today ETimes had reported that Akshay Kumar has shown no interest in Hera Pheri 3 amidst all the conjecture about the makers being in talks with the star to convince him to join the cast. Director Anees Bazmee has further confirmed to ETimes that he has no clue about Akshay Kumar or Kartik Aaryan being a part of the cast.

“I have been approached to direct Hera Pheri 3. We are working out my dates. The producers haven’t told me about Kartik or Akshay. They told me that they want me to direct the film. So I asked them how do we work out the dates. I have already directed two films for them – Welcome and Welcome Back. They want me to make Welcome 3 as well. Currently, I am busy with a couple of my films. Let’s see what works out and how.” he said.

It was also reported that Kartik has joined the franchise as a fresh character. However ETimes confirmed that Kartik is yet to take a call. “The makers have assured him that his character is completely removed from Akshay Kumar’s character. Kartik has said yes in principle. But he will take a final call only after seeing the script,” a source informed.

Further talking about No Entry Mein Entry, Anees Bazmee also confirmed that the film is not shelved. “Bhai (Salman Khan) has loved the script and he said that he wants to do the film. He said that we can start the film in January and that he will get back to me on the same,” he said.
