The news of Varun Dhawan doing an Anees Bazmee action film starting next year, has been doing the rounds. Herewith, ETimes gets you an EXCLUSIVE SCOOP on this flick. We have it that Kartik Aaryan was Bazmee’s first choice for this project.

In fact, Bazmee was trying to get Kartik on board again, soon after ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ ran away to full houses. Kartik wasn’t game to quite a few ideas that Bazmee offered him, at least three in number as our source reveals. This Varun Dhawan film was one of them.

Post Kartik, Bazmee approached Vicky Kaushal for the same. But Vicky too somehow wasn’t kicked about it.

To each his own, Varun Dhawan loved the subject and his role as well. As things stand today, Dhawan Jr has committed to it in principle.

The film’s heroine is yet to be finalised, ditto for the remaining cast.

Despite a call and text, Bazmee remained unavailable for comment till the time of going online.
