Director Aditya Dhar and actor Yami Gautam wed in a simple ceremony last year. Dressing up in her mother’s saree, Yami looked like a vision to behold as she tied the knot with Aditya in her ancestral village, in the presence of close friends and family only.

Today, as the Himachali beauty turns 34, her husband, Aditya Dhar took to his IG handle to share some pics of his wife wishing her a happy birthday, while calling her his ‘biggest cheerleader’. Aditya wrote, “To my biggest cheerleader. On your special day, here’s sending you all my love, luck, hugs and kisses. Happy birthday Yami, you are my ultimate Koshur Koor!” The images showed Yami dressed in traditional Kashmiri wear as she posed happily for the camera, her radiant laughter lighting up her face.

Yami, who maintains a low profile when it comes to her personal life, has often spoken about why she decided to have a low-key wedding and stayed away from the glitz and glamour that Bollywood weddings are synonymous with. According to her, since Aditya and she shared the same values, they decided to go for a simple, yet full of love wedding with friends and family in tow.

Aditya and Yami have earlier worked together in Uri: The Surgical Strike that marked Aditya’s directorial debut in 2019.
